After Losing Leg To A Landmine, Baby Elephant Was Given Prosthetic Leg

Prosthetic limbs aren’t just for people. They can be for elephants, too.

When Mosha, an elephant, was two years old, she lost her leg in a landmine injury along the Thai-Burma border. Fortunately, an orthopedic surgeon was able to equip him with the first prosthetic leg ever designed for an elephant.

Mosha’s friend Motola is also a victim of landmines. She was also given a new prosthetic leg recently.
