Photographer Captures ULTRA Rare Black Tiger In India

An amateur photographer took photos of an extremely rare black tiger, only a handful of which are known to exist in the wild.

Soumen Bajpayee, 27, snapped a melanistic tiger at Simlipal Reserve and Nandankanan Sanctuary in eastern Odisha, India.

This black tiger is just one of six that are thought to exist in the whole world! They are only found in the jungles of Odisha in India and are on the verge of extinction.

Black tigers are actually Bengal tigers with something called pseudo-melanism, which means their stripes are so tight and close together that you can barely see their orange fur.
