After three years of persistent efforts, Brazilian photographer Leonardo Sens managed to capture a breathtaking image of Christ the Redeemer seemingly “holding” the Moon. On June 4, he fulfilled his long-cherished dream while stationed at Icaraí Beach in the Rio de Janeiro municipality of Niterói, approximately seven miles from the towering 98-ft high statue of Christ the Redeemer.

The remarkable photo shows the colossal statue of Jesus Christ at the summit of Mount Corcovado in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with the Moon in its palms.
