Spanish Photographer Captures The Flight Patterns Of Birds

In a cerulean sky, sinuous lines create an otherworldly scene, resembling a spacecraft engaged in cloaking or a mythical creature in flight. However, this is the reality of cranes at Gallocanta Lake in Spain. These birds, numbering in the dozens, traverse between their feeding grounds in the fields and their resting place in the water. This snapshot encapsulates numerous frames into a singular moment.

Photographer Xavi Bou, hailing from Catalonia, is deeply captivated by birds and the intricate challenge of rendering their flight patterns visible. He has harmonized his passions for nature, art, and technology to craft these visuals, which he aptly terms “ornitography,” derived from the Greek roots ornitho- (“bird”) and graphe (“drawing”).
